So I started playing games at aeria games again. There are so many games out there now a days. So hard to pick what to play. Everyone seems to have different tastes.

Seems like more and more free to play games are becoming pay on side under a fake freeness or you won't get to play past level 2. Its incredibly expensive to play some games online.

I guess after bouncing around on a lot of games I finally decided to play aeria again, they might be expensive sometimes but they offer you a lot of alternatives. Like now you can at least play poker heros for free points everyday.

Yahoo Games and Oberon Media follow up 2

After posting and adding a blog I got contacted by a nice customer service lady from Oberon. Who helped me out on the phone. My issue has thankfully been resolved. My other question related to this topic was erased by yahoo.

It seems like Oberon is taking steps to cleaning up their previous bad reputation. Thanks Rebecca.

They have just recently become BBB accredited as an A member. I hope others can resolve their issues as I got to today.

Yahoo games partnering with oberon media forcing people to pay more?

Like myself quite a few people had faith in signing up with a big company like yahoo games for their monthly subscription. Well guess what!!! Once you sign up you are not dealing with yahoo. You are dealing with oberon media. Luckily I don't trust people so easily so I go and use prepaid cards to pay for things.

I have to say that when I went to google this oberon media, I was shocked by how pathetic their reputation was. How can yahoo do this? Partnering with such an awful customer service comapny.

Here is my latest problem with oberon. Dear oberon how do I update my credit card information because the old one has expired? The response was to click edit after clicking purchase full version on a game. Great ok so I go and try this. Guess what!?!??!!?

Here is a shocker for you people. Its a trick to get you to force you to buy another one of their games. Take a look at this picture:

What is going on here? Why do I have to buy an extra game just to pay my bill? So I sent another email to their support.

I got the following reply:
"We apologize for the inconvenience, but at the present time this is the only way to update your credit card information. It should not be necessary for you to complete a purchase to store the new information on file. However, if it is please proceed to purchase the game and reply back and we can issue you a refund for the charge.

Uh, do they really think I am going to pay extra money to a comapny who is on google noted for not giving a refund?

So actually I sent a letter of compaint to yahoo as well. What is with their partner? They sent me a reply :

I would serious advise all peopel to reconsider doing business with yahoo games!

Try searching the web for a phone number to contact this oberon, its damn hard. It took me a while to finally come up with 1 which was actually disconnected. So I searched even harder and came up with a phone number. I guess this is my next step. This is making me more and more upset as time passes by and no resolution is being made , other than me feeling like I'm being scammed by these companies.

Buying stuff from the web or television

So I'm watching TV, and I see another commercial for cash4gold. Basically it says contact us and we end you an envelope and you put your gold inside and get money for it. So out of pure curiosity, I went and googled it and added the word scam at the end. I think everyone who is interested in buying something off the net or tv should use google and add the word sucks or scam at the end. You will come up with lots of interesting things. I came up with an incredible amount of dirt on this cash4gold stuff. Apparently there are testimonials from many ex customers and even employees discrediting them.
So people be sure to remember, not everything you see on tv is what it implies it is. Leaving loop holes just so the truth is twisted or left off enough to make them not liable for false advertising. Does anyone think about the saying "buyer beware" after reading this? Not that you are buying, but maybe they should make a new saying to match "sellers beware also." Things like this happen all the time. You guys may not think much of it but there are tons of people paying (with their gold) for that commercial to be broadcasted on tv everyday.

I am so scared to buy stuff on the net. I refuse to use my credit card on here. So what I did was go and buy a prepaid visa from walmart. You go and sign up your card with their website and they send you a new one with your name on it. But until its sent to you, you can use it like a normal credit card on the net. You can even add it as a credit card on paypal. It might not stop people from overcharging you if you have extra money on the card. But it will definitely stop them from cleaning out your banking account. The prepaid card costs $3 to get. And after that $3 a month. For my personal security, I don't think thats too much at all.

Jaycee Dugard

So I was reading my mail and saw a link to news on Jaycee Dugard. I clicked it and began reading that this little girl who was 11 was walking on her way to the school bus stop and got abducted. She was held in captivity for 18 years by a man, Phillip Craig Garrido, who was a registered sex offender for raping another little girl. She even gave birth to 2 children, who are now 11 and 15.

Phillip Craig Garrido said something along the lines of after my first daughter 15 years ago I turned over a new leaf (taken from: http://www.mercurynews.com/breakingnews/ci_13222539 ). WTF !!! Ok so your so called new leaf turn over was to continue holding a girl who was then around 14 years old? Then continue to make her give birth to another child who is now 11?

Then I also read in another news report that said she was alright but living there had taken its toll? There is no alright about this. This was an 11 year old girl. Who was molded into believing that it was ok for this man to do these things to her. For 3 years no one came to rescue this little girl and then she gave birth to a child. What is going on in her head at this point? How deeply traumatized is she? There is no alright about this! I'm outraged someone would even say alright. An 11 year old child psychologically changed into believing everything should be what this man says because he controlled her life in a box for god sakes. He told her when to eat, where to stay, and obviously when to feel pain. Then the man spouts off he is speaking the language of angels. 18 years of this kind of trash for a little kid who stopped going to school at 11. Is it alright? NO ITS NOT ALRIGHT!

And what about her kids? Did this man abuse those children as well? She was abducted at 11. And those 2 kids are 11 and 15. It gives me chills to even imagine it. What did they do with the 1st daughter, the then 4 year old girl, when he abused Jaycee Dugard that gave birth to the second child. What kind of trauma have these 2 other kids felt or seen. They don't even know that its wrong because they have not been to school or anything. What kind of mind set are these children having? What kind of mind set will they have knowing they are children of rape. How will their mother cope or feel about them? She was a child herself when it happened. What will Jayce's mother feel as well? These children will forever be a reminder of that man and what he did. Its a cruel thing to say and think, but it is also a fact. This is going to be a big mental issue that will need to be dealt with. What will these 3 girls do with their lives now?

This man did not just kidnap and rape an 11 year old girl. He raped her life and her mind and those of her children and family as well.

Common Sense

Is it just me or do people lack a heavy dose of common sense in recent years? I don't expect people to become geniuses but at least think about something with some common sense. I feel more and more sad about society as each day progresses. I was sitting in a movie theater with my family and a little kid starts talking LOUDLY in the middle of the movie. Ok that's fine its a just a little kid. So I'm thinking parents do something about it. Instead the adult who was with the kid starts talking with him in loud voice! LOL omg. What the heck? What the heck are you teaching your kid? Its ok to be talking loud and rudely in the middle of a movie theater? I'm not saying this was a super bad case, but seriously its little things like this that make our society go down hill little by little. As I was walking out the same no class lady tells the little kid lets go watch GI JOE now. So not only was she teaching him to be rude, but also to be a criminal by sneaking into the movie theater they didn't pay for. What the heck? LOL, what happen to role model parents or adults? I wonder how this kid will turn out in 10 years.
